Write First, Worry Later
Now is the time.
It would be redundant to say that this year has been tough, yet that’s the truth that we all have had to admit.
Each month seems to bring new challenges. I have had to adapt to each problem in a different way. Most recently, my way to hurtle over challenges has been writing.
Whether it's my feelings or general thoughts, writing helps me to (cliche ahead!) escape my surroundings. For a fraction of my day, my thoughts are devoted to putting pen on paper — or rather my fingers on a keyboard.
On some of my hardest days, I get to accomplish something, even when it feels like I have nothing to show for them.
My mantra is to write it all down first. Write something, anything — even if it’s absolutely horrendous.
I guess that’s what a passion is: your room to have space from the world around you.
No matter how crazy life gets, no matter how hard things seem to be, I can write first and worry later.
